Ya... I change job AGAIN!!!
It seems that after working in a big company, I have difficulties adapting to a small company working environment. So after much consideration (& job hunting) I finally found another position. Hahaha. I must say that I am quite lucky in the sense that I never have much problem finding job. And so, I've start my new job last week! Yeah!!! Good luck to me:)

My Confession : Ben Stein
Someone recently send me an email about something Ben Stein wrote. I find it very correct & meanfully. Please read & consider.
The following was written by Ben Stein and recited by him on CBS Sunday Morning Commentary.
My confession:
I am a Jew, and every single one of my ancestors was Jewish. And it does not bother me even a little bit when people call those beautiful lit up, bejeweled trees Christmas trees. I don't feel threatened. I don't feel discriminated against. That's what they are: Christmas trees. It doesn't bother me a bit when people say, "Merry Christmas" to me. I don't think they are slighting me or getting ready to put me in a ghetto. In fact, I kind of like it. It shows that we are all brothers and sisters celebrating this happy time of year. It doesn't bother me at all that there is a manger scene on display at a key intersection near my beach house in Malibu. If people want a crèche, it's just as fine with me as is the Menorah a few hundred yards away. I don't like getting pushed around for being a Jew, and I don't think Christians like getting pushed around for being Christians. I think people who believe in God are sick and tired of getting pushed around, period. I have no idea where the concept came from that America is an explicitly atheist country. I can't find it in the Constitution and I don't like it being shoved down my throat.Or maybe I can put it another way: where did the idea come from that we should worship Nick and Jessica and we aren't allowed to worship God as we understand Him? I guess that's a sign that I'm getting old, too. But there are a lot of us who are wondering where Nick and Jessica came from and where the America we knew went to.In light of the many jokes we send to one another for a laugh, this is a little different: This is not intended to be a joke; it's not funny, it's intended to get you thinking.Billy Graham's daughter was interviewed on the Early Show and Jane Clayson asked her "How could God let something like this happen?" (regarding Katrina) Anne Graham gave an extremely profound and insightful response. She said, "I believe God is deeply saddened by this, just as we are, but for years we've been telling God to get out of our schools, to get out of our government and to get out of our lives. And being the gentleman He is, I believe He has calmly backed out. How can we expect God to give us His blessing and His protection if we demand He leave us alone?"In light of recent events...terrorists attack, school shootings, etc. I think it started when Madeleine Murray O'Hare (she was murdered, her body found recently) complained she didn't want prayer in our schools, and we said OK. Then someone said you better not read the Bible in school. The Bible says thou shalt not kill, thou shalt not steal, and love your neighbor as yourself. And we said OK.Then Dr. Benjamin Spock said we shouldn't spank our children when they misbehave because their little personalities would be warped and we might damage their self-esteem (Dr. Spock's son committed suicide). We said an expert should know what he's talking about. And we said OK.Now we're asking ourselves why our children have no conscience, why they don't know right from wrong, and why it doesn't bother them to kill strangers, their classmates, and themselves.Probably, if we think about it long and hard enough, we can figure it out. I think it has a great deal to do with "WE REAP WHAT WE SOW." Funny how simple it is for people to trash God and then wonder why the world's going to hell. Funny how we believe what the newspapers say, but question what the Bible says. Funny how you can send 'jokes' through e-mail and they spread like wildfire but when you start sending messages regarding the Lord, people think twice about sharing. Funny how lewd, crude, vulgar and obscene articles pass freely through cyberspace, but public discussion of God is suppressed in the school and workplace. Are you laughing?Funny how when you forward this message, you will not send it to many on your address list because you're not sure what they believe, or what they will think of you for sending it.Funny how we can be more worried about what other people think of us than what God thinks of us.Pass it on if you think it has merit. If not then just discard it... no one will know you did. But, if you discard this thought process, don't sit back and complain about what bad shape the world is in.
My Best Regards.
Honestly and respectfully,
Ben Stein

Recently I signed up for facebook after much persuasion from my friends. Tried signing up from my office but failed. So finally, one fine day, I finally signed up at home. Hehehe
Then I tried signing in from my office computer and I can sign in!!! Huh.. Weird that I cannot sign up from my office yet I can sign in... Don't care... As long as I can use it in office I will not complain!! Heheheehehe
Boy do I understand why some company block facebook on their internet network. It is VERY addictive. Especially if you have friends that are always online. I was playing scissor paper stone with a friend and having water fights with others. At the same time, I was also biting, fighting with friends vampire, werewolfs, zombies and slayers. Hahahaha. Of course, there are also gifts to exchanges, notes to write & hugs, cuddles, poke to do to friends. So fun. But its a bit messy. So it take some getting use to the format of facebook.
Yeah well, so I have no idea whether I will continue updating blog during my office hour. Think I will be in facebook more often than not during office hour. Hahahahah
Byebye... Facebook here I come

Health
To all my friends, family, colleagues, etc :
Please take care of your health.
I went to visit a friend of mine at the hospital yesterday evening. She just went for an operation yesterday morning. Thank goodness everything went well & she will be discharge tomorrow to recover at home.
Another friend of mine also just went for a scan yesterday morning. Luckily for her, the report came back as healthy. Scare me only. Coz one just went for operation!! They have similar symptom but I dare not tell her. I don't want to give my friend additional worry.
Last words: Please go for yearly check up if you can afford it. (Claim from company would be the best Hahahaha)

Cats' Day Out
I went to stay overnight at my sister home yesterday as she needs to bring her two 'four legged monsters' to the vet today.
As I never went to the vet with them before, I do not know what kind of experience it will be. Would it be a hassle to trick them into their carrier & will they give us problem like when my sister bath them? (One of them will usually hide til she thought we have given up to bath her)
In the end, it turn out to be joke. My sister has three carrier. A big one where it can carry both cats, a bag that can carry the smaller cat & a medium size carrier. My sister decided that we are to use the bag as well as the medium size carrier as it will be easier for both of us. So she brought out the medium carrier, opened the door & left it in the living room. Then she bring the bag to the kitchen with the smaller cat, Soilei. She then uses cat treats to trick her into the bag. Very easy with minimum fuss. Except when she finishes her treat & realised that she cannot get out of the bag. Then she started meowing. Rather surprising as she is the quiet one.
After capturing Soilei, we went to the living room, with the intention of luring the bigger cat, Lune, to the carrier. Well, curiousity kills the cat. She saw the carrier opened & went to check out what it was. Hahahahahaha No fuss, no problem. My sister immediately close the door & kept her in the carrier. So funny. But she immediately started meowing when she saw the door being close. I can't stop laughing at that. Poor girl. At least her sister gotten treats.

Selamat Hari Raya
I forgot that today is Hari Raya. For those who are not familiar with Muslim culture, today is their new year.
One word to describe today - Food!! Hahahaha
I was woken up by my mom early this morning (I slept at 3+) to get ready to go a friend house. & because I slept real early this morning, I was going like... "Can I don't go?" & I got scolded. Blame my short term memory ok. I totally forgot that today was a public holiday. Must go back office & credit everyone with one day leave.
Anyway, mom & me met my sister, bro-in-law & baby niece to go together to a muslim friend house. Food.... Hehehehe She catered from a indian muslim caterer & the food was quite good. One special dish - bindi fry ( Fried ladyfinger)
This taste very very good. I don't eat ladys' finger. But I had to try this as everyone was saying that this is good. & I must say I don't regret trying it.
After that, we went to my malay grand auntie home for dinner. Hehehehe More food. Heeheheh
This time, it's home cooked food. I love going to my malay auntie home for meals. She & my grand uncle are very good cooks & they make very good rendang, archa, dahcha & the fried chicken (forgot the name) hehehehe Yummy.... There is also the cakes & biscuits.
& as per normal malay behaviour, we tabao some back Hahahaha. For tomorrow lunch perhaps

Rose Veranda ~ The One Hundred & One Tea of Shangri-La
Oh yeah... I'd applied for another half day leave today after yesterday. Still not happy about my boss. But... today was actually to go out with my sister for high tea for my birthday (On Tuesday) & after that, to fetch my mom at the airport. She's back today from her 4D3N Macau.
Anyway, today post will be about the Rose Veranda. Both of us love the service at Shangri-La. All the staff that we encounter are just so attentive & helpful. The place is also very.. hmmm.. I can't think of another word but classy & rich. Very taitai. Hahahaha. What do you expect? It's Shangri-La you know.
My sister & I were both very impress with one of the waiter there. Or was he the manager? Not too sure. Anyway, what happen was that my sister just finish feeding my niece & needed to wash the milk bottle. He noticed that my sister was holding on to the bottle & was looking for something (toilet). So he asked my sister & then volunteer to wash the bottle for my sister. Of course he probable took it to the kitchen for them to wash. But when he return us the bottle, it was washed & very warm. That means, it has probable been washed with hot water, thus sterilized. Hahaha. No need for us to wash with hot water again. Hehehehe I love hotel services.
Opps.... Too much on that. Anyway, on with Rose Veranda. The food there was alright. Not much selection but most of the food taste very good. The highlight of my whole experience there, the tea. Yes they really have 101 type of teas for you to try. But we manage to only try 6 different type of teas between the both of us. I must say, out of the 6, only 1 does not go well with me. Might be the tea that I had drank before that cup does not really go well with that.
In total, I tried the rooibos (??? forget spelling) tea, Mun da, Peach Blossom & I forgot the last tea I had. Hahahaha It was order by my sister & came in a pot so we shared that. We had a choice between a cup or a pot. We ordered all our tea in a cup so that we can try different flavors. The experience there was wonderful. The cost? I think it is about $40 per pax. My sister refuse to let me see the bill. But overall, I think that it is worth the experience.
What can I say... I wanna go there again!!
(Must look for a rich boyfriend/hunsband to support this habit Wahahahahaha)

Taking Leave
I'm so angry with my boss..........
Previously when I went for interview for my current job, I told my boss that I am still studying & that I will need to take leave for exams & studies.
Know what happen today? This morning, some last minute things came up & I cannot defer it to later or the weekend. Not a problem, I thought. I can apply for leave... So I sms my boss & another colleague telling them that I have something urgent that I need to attend to today & have to apply for a full day leave.
KNN... After 15 mins later, my boss reply my sms. Can you arrange your personal things on weekends. Try to come in in the afternoon. Cannot take full day leave. WTF!?!?!?! How do you expect me to go for my exams then?
Actually I have been arranging a lot of personal meetings during lunch hours or after office hours. And now he tells me to not take leave for personal things?!?! Going overboard boss.... You know that I am going for exams & now you tell me not to take full day leave?
Well, I have prepare my resignation letter. Just need the effective date. Good luck boss.

Movie ~ Part 2
Finally I went to watch Ratat..... The rat movie yesterday. I can't remember the spelling of the movie. Don't blame me. If I am not wrong, it is a name of a french dish. French!! How am I suppose to remember the spelling of anything French when my spelling is lousy? Furthermore it's French food.
Anyway, I went to watch with a friend from my previous company. We have been saying that we wanted to watch a movie together from past year (or is it before that) til I have left the company. Finally a movie that both of us wanted to watch. But, because the show is about finish its run, it's so difficult to find a convienent show time for both of us. Luckily for us, there is still Cathay. The AMK Hub has a show time at 7.15 yesterday. But it's at AMK... So far from my home. In the end, I bunked over at my sister home again! Thus, the shortage of appropriate office wear today. (I'm wearing JEANS (on a thursday!) & my sister blouse again. Heheehe)
Hmm... Out of topic again! Ok Ok.. Back to the movie.
Too bad it's finishing it's run. Its quite a good movie. It's a must watch if you like cartoons from Disney. It's quite funny. I love the part where the rats took over the kitchen. It is sooo funny. Oh! & the part where the rat & garbage boy is trying out the co-ordination to cook. And the part where he was trying to cook the mushroom with cheese but was strike by lightning. And the part where the cupboard figures of the 5star chef started talking. And, and, and I better stop here or I will be talking about the whole movie out of sequence instead. Heheheehe. That is how much I like the show :) But really, the last part was also quite humourous with a touch of irony. The food critic, Ego, opened a restuarant with the female cook & the rat! And the sign of the bistro is a rat wearing a chef hat. Hehehehe. The irony of that.. A rat cooking. Hehehehe Of course, a cartoon by Disney would have it's sentimental moments and the villians.
My last words? Ernest go buy the VCD so that I can watch when I'm over your place. Hehehehee

Drink Session
Hahahaha.. I have started spending my new salary!!!
Went for a drinking session with a good friend & we really ordered too much! Initial
ly we wanted to go to Brewerkz. But there is a long waiting list. So we added our name to the list & went to Microbrewery instead. The order, each of us had a pint of lager. Not bad... But we were still comtemplating whether to order any finger food to go with our drinks or do we want to wait for Brewerkz to call. The staff at Brewerkz told us that the waiting time is about 1 hr to 1 1/2 hrs. In the end, we decided to order a drink each 1st & if it is good, then we continue with other orders. Actually, the beer was quite good. Fresh & frothy.
Then while we are enjoying our beer, the call came!! Yeah!! Seats are availble at Brewerkz. Man... I feel so bad. We only manage to finish half of our drinks. What a waste of good beer!!! But no choice. Its either waste the beer or spoil our taste buds. So on to our next destination, Brewerkz! Yeah!!! We were very hungry by then & we ordered too much food as a result! Hahahaha Spicy seafood pizza, mussels & combo BBQ ribs with chicken leg and onion rings on the side. Plus, a bottle of red wine! Hahaha.. Ya.. Two of us can't finish it. Thanks goodness my bud boyfriend came to finish it up! Hehehehe
Verdict of the food: Pizza - ice cold beer is better, BBQ Ribs - Tony romas is better, BBQ Chicken - Good, Onion Rings - Carls Junior is better, Mussels - Best!! Must try!! hahahhaa
Ohh, Red wine - Well.. we have a budget so its a ok wine hehehe
Of course, company - best!!! hehehe
Too bad i forgot to take pics of the food!! hehehehe

Slacking...... Part 2
With my boss away outstation, my work mood is even worse!!!!!
Slacking in office reading bowman range forum #_#
& of course updating my blog XD
I am wondering why I agreed to come back here again... Hmmm... My colleague must have caught me at a low point to make me agree to come back. Of course the money is good. But the work & environment is totally at the other side of the good spectrum. Regrets coming back? Nope... Just having second thoughts. Difference between the two? I am not upset about leaving DC, but is considering whether coming back is a wise choice. Anyway, I have a feeling that my term here will be a short short one. Heehehehee
I'm looking for another job!!! Wish me luck !
Slacking in office reading bowman range forum #_#

Movie
I wanna watch the rat movie!!
Seems quite nice, but I heard that it is ending soon. Sad.. T.T ocean... you fly my aeroplane T.T
Anyway, no movie tomorrow... But hopefully next week I will be watching something!!
But then again, if I watch movie at home, it would be a better experience. Coz then, I can get potato chips, ice creams, any drinks that I want as well as not worry about needing to go for a toilet break. Hehehehehe
Okay, time to go buy lantern for mid autume festival since I'm not watching movie

Inconsiderate Peeps.....
I hate inconsiderate people. Spoil my day after an encounter with such people.
As today is the due date for my credit card payment, I went to make payment thru the AXN machine. It's so convenient to use. Just select the necessary items & insert your card & enter the amount you wanna pay. Insert your ATM card to make the payment & you are done. So quick & easy.
Well, just my luck today. There was only 1 machine on my way home & when I reach the station, there was one couple using the machine & another guy waiting to use. Since it is such a short queue, I thought that I would be done within 20 minutes.
BUT.... The idiotic couple did not know the basics of considerate behaviour!!!!
They have a handful of bills ( I think about 6) that they are making payment. Even then, it should take them about 7-10 minutes. However, the woman was taking her own sweet time making payment! She was slowly arranging & rearranging her bills, then slowly sorting thru her cards. She still can stop to talk to her husband. Don't she know that there is a queue behind her??? I wonder what she is trying to do? Show that she is rich & have a lot of credit cards? Please...... If you are really rich, you would not need to stand there making payment. You would have made cheque payment instead. Furthermore, if you rich the NETS payment won't have decline. She has to delete some payments in the end. Huh... Waste other people time only. She still can slowly walk away from the station after she is done. Thank goodness she still remember her manners & apologised to the guy behind her. But too bad! She has already left a very poor (as in bad & no money), idiotic impression on me. Hopefully I never have to meet her again!
Blah!

Sick...
My poor nose, poor head, poor body...
I down with flu :( After working 3 days at my new workplace!! Hahahah.. Do you think I am entitled to medical claims & medical leave before confirmation? Ah... I'm not too bother by that.. That is how sick I am :(
Anyway, went to see the doctor near my sister home. (Coz I'm still bunking over there) The doctor is quite fast & nice. But the overrall experience was very slow. Most of us have to wait for a long time to see the doctor & then get our medication. THank goodness I went early.
Ok.. Enough for today. 'Coz I'm too sleepy after taking my medicine
Bed time Zzzz

Starting New!
Yeap.... I started my new job yesterday!
New job, new salary, new environment, new colleagues, & new phone :(
Let start with the new job...
I was approached by my old boss 1-2 mths ago, asking whether I am interested in going back to work for him. Initially I was not really that interested. However, the salary he offered was too attractive for me to just pass over. Furthermore, at that time, my boss was not willing to give my a better increment. So, I've decided to go work with my old boss. After all, money talks ;D Anyway, I just start yesterday &..... I discover to my everlasting anger & horror... that the previous accounts just left the company without finishing her job!!!! What kind of attitude is that!! Now I have to clear all her job as well (>.<) Grrrrr..... OTs here I come :(
Anyway, after clearing the backlogs there should be not much OTs. Thank goodness. I'm not paid that much to justified working overtime. Hahahah
Bad working attitude
Ok.. On with the next new.. My new phone :(
What happen was that I accidently dropped my old phone & yeap.... it was spoilt. I can't open the battery compartment & take out my sim card. Think it got jam. Otherwise I am too weak to open it :p
So I had to get a new phone by last night. ( Thus no OT yesterday) Anyway I was supposed to change my phone since Jul 07. Hahahaha I have been delaying the change as I really like my old phone. So..... I finally went to change it yesterday.
Man.. It is so troublesome to change a phone. The queue was so long. I waited about 1hr15mins just to buy a phone. Thanks goodness I need not use that long a time to get use to my new phone. However, like all new phone, I need to charge my phone for 8 hours. (more time wasted)
Ya... And I need to contact all my friends to get their phone numbers again. (Coz my old phone can't work) How??? When I cannot remember their contact?? Haiz........

ByeBye ("_)
Today is my last day at my present company Deloitte, after slogging there for 3 years.
I really had a tought time making up my mind whether to tender my resignation. After much consideration & conversion with my supervisor & boss, I decided that it is time for me to go. Not an easy decision I tell you,
I am really comfortable there. Easy job, a lot of autonomy, very very good benefits and flexible working hours. Its just that the salary is really very lousy and that there is not much career prospect within the company. I mean, I am already at the top of the structure within the project. (There is only 2 other position in the project, other then the project manager) It time for me to move on. Of course, working at Deloitte itself has the benefit of working under a brand name. It will definitely easier for me to find a better job within the foreseeable future.
Of course, I will miss all my friends at Deloitte. ( In fact, I'm starting to miss them) But what can you expect? At the end of the day, it's everyone on their own. I don't think anyone is willing to share their salary right?
But it's not so bad as I can still meet them for lunch & drinks after hours. It will be just that we won't meet that often.
The thing is that I nearly can't bear to leave them. Thank goodness there was no tears!! hahahahaha.. Otherwise I have no idea how I will leave the office.
Anyway, I left the office laughing. Not because I am THAT happy to leave the company, it's just that I was talking to 3 of my colleagues. And they are just so funny. Or rather 1 of them was. His reaction was very quick and funny. Listerning to him talking back to the other 2 left my laughing fits & no chance to comment. Man... I am going to miss that.

Results
After 6 mths of slogging to study after work & 1 mth plus of self study, my results are OUT!
Really don't feel like going to work this morning as my results are to be release this afternoon. But because my colleague has went on maternity leave, there is nobody to cover my work and hers as well. So if I don't work today, there will be double the work load for me tomorrow.
What to do... I'm such a responsible person (like real! If I'm really that responsible, I won't be blogging now)
Anyway, I'm super nervous of my results thought my colleagues would not agree. They think that I'm cool about it. Hey... after spending so much time & effort on my studies you think that I will not worry?!?
But there is too much work that has to be done for me to fret too much. Hahahaha
Payment, printing, processing etc.... Sad.. I'm leaving the company soon & yet there is still so much work to be done. Seems like my company is not too worry about my job and client. Well, it will be none of my business after this month.
Anyway, my results? 25% pass
I only pass 1 paper out of 4
But I'm still feeling very happy. Coz I pass the most difficult paper "p No more strategic financial planning :) Can return all the WACC, PPP, IRR, CAPM to acca
Plan for tonight... Burn all my financial mgmt notes !!! Wahahah

Funny Facts for the day..
Fact 1)
The human neck has the same number of bones as the neck of a giraffe
Fact 2)
We blink about 25 times a minute and each blink lasts for about one fifth of a second
Fact 3)
A sharp cough may well move air inside the body faster than the speed of sound!
That's all for the day.

七月。。。。。。鬼节。。。。。。
Yeap.... It's the start of the seventh month, Hungry Ghost festival!
Better to go home earlier, drive carefully as well as don't go swimming & moving into your new home(That is if you believe my grandmother words).
The chinese folklore state that this month, the seventh lunar month, is when the gates of hell is open and all the ghosts are able to come up to the human world. To entertain them, chinese will burn offerings as well as arrange for chinese wayang and ge tai for them to see. Often, business men will also arrange for dinners & auctions to raise funds for buying offerings & arranging the shows. Usually these offerings includes burning of hugh joss sticks that will burn for days. These are the more common sights at the older marketplaces and hawker centres.
More people will also be vegetarian during this month only. Well, chinese believe that eating vegetarian food will be good for our soul. So they probably think that being vegetarian for this month will help them avoid any 'unfortunate' sights this month. Actually I have no idea why they do that. Wahahaha.
Ah well, I just finish burning offerings to the 'chek pek'. More importantly, just finish praying for good health, safety & well.... just pray that there is no unfortunate events to my family :)

Coincidence or Copycat?
I have been listerning to some of my friends complains about another colleague....
It seems that there is a copycat in my office. There is this one colleague of mine that has been blatantly copying the fashion style of another colleague of mine. Bags, clothes, pendants, etc....
And my friend was quite upset over it as our colleague will then try to pass off her purchases as 'originals'. That is, she brought it before my friend got it.
Don't believe me? Here's a recent conversation between the two of them that I have overheard. Oh, before that, this conversation is about a bag that both of them got.
Colleague: ' Eh..... Your bag is same as mine!'
Friend: 'Izzit? When did you get it?'
Colleague: ' Oh..... Long time ago... Erm.. About 2-3 months ago bah'
Friend: ' Chey..... I got this somewhere in Jan'
Colleague: 'Is it? How come I never see you carry that bag before?'
The thing is that my friend bag was not exactly in pristine condition. Well, the bag is white in color and my friend bag is showing some grey. You know... when things have been use for sometime there will be signs of wear & tear. It's quite obvious that my friend did have her bag for sometime... And here my colleague was trying to pass it off as my friend is trying to fake her purchase. What is she trying to proof? It's just a bag.....
I told my friend to just ignore her & to think positively. My words to my friend? Her fashion sense is so good that people are following her!! Hahahaha
Anyway, I was checking my friendster & in my colleague profile, there is a link for her blog in blogger!! That is quite a surprise as she is already using friendster as her blog. Out of curiosity, i went to check out her blog. And she is using the same template as me!!!! Argh..... I'm quite tempted to change my template as well. But after some serious consideration, I'm couldn't bother to change it. After all, we are using template provided by blogger. So unless I master more about blogging, I guess I will just take that as a coincidence & not change my template.

Interesting Facts
Spend the national day holiday reading, and alright.. playing maplestory as well. Hehehehe I finally got my laptop to my sister home. So yes!!! I can start playing maplestory again. ")
Anyway, I was reading this book titled "It's a Fact". It's quite interesting, so I have decided to share some of the more interesting facts that was found in the book.
Did you know......
Over twice as many American psychologists commit suicide each year as patients in mental hospitals. (Seems like the doctors hear to much problems from their patients)
The English word 'Poppycock' comes from a Dutch word 'papekak' which means 'soft dung'.
(So when you say 'poppycock' you are saying that the person is talking 'soft dung?)
The last trial in which an animal was condemned to death took place in France 1740. A cow was found guilty of sorcery and was hang on the gallows!
(Izzit most cattle condemned to death when they were raised?)

Unwanted Trouble :(
Had a scared of my live yesterday evening.... I thought I was stuck in my office as I cannot find my access pass. Thankfully another colleague was around but he was packing for the day. In the end, he decided to loan me his pass so that I can continue looking for my pass in the office.
This is really unwanted trouble as we have to report for lost pass as well as pay a fine of $50.00 The thing is, I am leaving the company soon and I do not want the trouble of remembering another new passcode. Anyway, I know that my pass is somewhere in the office. Coz the last time I went out of the office I came in using my pass. Man...... I just can't remember where I left it. Search through my whole table and drawers even thought I know that I did not open my drawers for a long time. I even search my rubbish bin! After that, I look through my colleagues tables just in case I have lost my memory I had left my pass on someone's table. No luck.
In the end, I call up another colleague whom I last spoke to before I discover my trouble. Seems that I need some help to recall what I was doing after 5 pm Wednesday :(
Lucky for me, I manage to find my pass. It was in the cupboards where we kept the old files. Seems that after I last went out of the office, I just keep on looking for requested documents. Thus, leaving my pass in the cupboard. Saved by a phone call. Thanks mate for your help :)

Holidaying...... At my sister home :(
I will away from home for the next 6(?) weeks. Going away to my sister home to accompany her. As thought her 2 cats are not enought. So sad..... Can't play my maplestory.
My sister, niece and myself went to send off my brother-in-law this morning for his working trip to Vietnam/Australia. It's so troublesome to bring am infant out. We need to carry her, bring along milk bottle, milk power, water, diapers as well as a change of clothes for her. So must of the time, we took a cab to wherever we wanted to go. We are also restricted to go shopping as there are some shops where the floor area is just not big enough to accomedate a baby pram. Of course, there are some places where there are no lifts, or have plenty of steps to climb (i.e.: City link. I'm being to hate there!)
Also we can't really stay out late as baby need to go back home early. Her system is still not as strong as ours. In the end, we only manage to get 1 piece of clothing each. Quite miserable compared to the previous week where I manage to get about 10 items :)
Oh my, come to think about it, I think I better stop shopping soon. Going broke if I don't curb my shopping spree!!!

Resignation
It's official. I have just resign from my current employment. Although I have been offer another job for about 1 week ago. Hahahahaha
Not that I have been dragging my feet to tender my resignation, it's just that my boss was'nt in office til yesterday. I need to talk to him about further prospect in my current work place as well as my potential increment. Money talks ya know.. ^__^
Lets just say that there is not much potential for growth in my current employment. But its so sad to even consider leaving my current job. I have been here for 3 yrs, and althought there is not much growth in terms of monetary value, I have learn quite a bit about myself as we
ll as have develop a better self. (I hope!!)
ll as have develop a better self. (I hope!!)Of course, the thought of leaving my good colleagues and friends is so depressing. No matter how often we will keep in contact after I leave, it will still be very different from see each other every day. I just hope that we will not lost touch after I have left.

Online Shopping
Have you tried shopping online?
Recently a good friend of mine recommend to me some online shopping sites. The sites that she recommend me were all from Taiwan (Clothes, accessories & bags). The clothes were actually very nice. It is also very cheap. However, there is a waiting period between 1-3 months. Man..... I think by the time the items reach me, it will be slightly out-dated. Also, I have no idea how good the materials of the items are. After all, I'm a super fussy person.
What do you think? Is it 'save' to shop online?

Salary
Do you think a company should have the right to pay salary late?
My company recently was late in paying our salary.Because it is a direct credit to our bank account, i didn't realised that it is late til this morning when I went to draw cash for lunch. Imagine my surprise when there is only a few hundred in my account. Or should I say shock? As i did use internet banking my first worry is whether somebody manage to carry out any unauthorised transaction with my balance. The second thing that I thought about is that there is a problem with my salary. First thing I did when I reach my office is to log into my bank account to check the transaction.
Thank goodness it is just that salary for the month is not in yet. After that, I called the HR department to enquire about the statues of our salary. And the answer: Salary is not late. It is still not end of the month yet. What the heck?!?! According to our employment contract, (which I have forgotten til another colleague remind me) salary will be paid to us every 25 of the month. Anyway, I was quite unhappy with the HR answer to my question. He didn't even sound sorry about the delay, but replied me as if this is a joke. Grrr......
I mean, should'nt HR send out a mail saying that salary will be delay for 2 days or something similar to that. We do have payments to make as well you know.
Anyway, I will be check for my salary next month. And will call HR again if it is not in on the 25th. Hehehehehe

Job Hopping
I so tired of working at my office. Not because of the work, but because of the people there. Favoritism is widely practice and there is a lot of politics going on. Furthermore, the salary is very lousy. I really feel like writing the below to my boss:
Dear Boss,
With my deepest regret, I have to fire you as my boss. The main reason is because of the miserable salary as well as the lousy office ethics.
Only a handful of staff keep to the regular working hours. Some will be late regularly for about 15mins. There are also a handful of staff that cronically comes in 1 hour after the official working hour starts and leaves the office before working hours end. Furthermore no action were taken by their supervisors. This is very unfair to those that comes in on time. Please take the necessary action before more of the colleagues decide to fire you as their income provider as well.
The salary is way below the market average. Most of us can easily find another job that pays at least $200.00 more than what you are paying us now. Of couse, the office ethics may be more strict. My advice is that you should loosen the purse strings before more of us decide to seek for better prospects else where.
All the best,
Me

Handphone?

I need a new handphone!!!
My current stupid handphone battery is dying. It needs to be charge every 2 days. And that is if I did not (emphasize : DO NOT) use the phone for anything. Even as an alarm clock.
The problem now. I do not know what phone I should get.
I have been looking at the various phones as well as talked to staff at the different mobile providers. Most of them don't recommend one of the most widely known phone. One of the staff actually told my brother-in-law not to get the brand phone as there is a lot of bad feedback from their customers. Another brand was also not recommended as it is too expensive. Not value for money.
However, the phones that are available now are either too expensive, or without functions that I would like to have. There are also some phones that I like but is strongly recommended against getting it due to problems with the phone. A friend of mine suggested to wait til Aug when there may be more promotion. But, will those phones be good to use? And how high will the damage be?
The problem with gadgets... Headache...

Changing Jobs?

What is the chance of getting a job when you go for an interview?
Recently I went for an interview. Not really interested in the job as I am planning to change the direction of my career. I think the impression that I have given was that I am not interested and is slightly bored during the interview. This interview job scope? A slight step down from what I am currently doing but an increase in salary. Got an return call from the company offering me the job. Should I reject it? 'Coz this will be the second time I turn down a job offer. And its not always that we are able to get a interesting job offer.

Work vs Study
My colleague has been dragging her feet to lessons these few weeks. My point of view, it would be very much better if I am going to study instead of work. At least being a student has holidays. After all, there are only 14 days annual leave with 11 national holidays. That makes up to only 25 days paid holidays. That is definately less than what students enjoy. Students have 2 long school holidays on top of the national holidays. How nice. Why can't I be a full time student?

Cat Show
Went to a cat show today. And I fell in love with the maine coons. So lovely & big.. Must emphasize on the BIG.
A bit of their history:
Maine coons are from the North America, originated from New England. They are known for its intelligence, dexterity and playfulness. They are similar in appearance to both the Norwegian Forest Cat as well as the Siberian cats. They can grow up to a weight of 12 kg for adult cats. It is actually quite common for maine coon to weight about 1okg!!! My god, that is even heavier than a healthy 3 months old infant. However, maine coons are gentle, good natured cats. They love to play and may even accompany their owners doing chores or even to collect mails. Maine Coons are also know to play fetch with their owners.
(Information from Cat Fancier: Maine Coon: Cat Breed FAQ)
We actually compared that size of the paws of an adult maine coon with a 3 mth baby hand. Guess who has the bigger paw/hand? You are right. The cat. Just wish that I have taken a photo. The owner of the cat told us there are times when people has mistaken her cat as a dog!?!
Hopefully my family will get one. But the cat is rather expensive as it is an imported cat. The show cat owner got hers from Australia for about SGD2,400. But that was few years ago. I can't imagine the cost now. Anyway, with two cats at home, I doubt we will be getting a maine coon anytime soon. I guess I have to wait til the next cat show to see another Maine Coon

C & C ~ Colleagues & Clients
My job project client recently (Monday) send one of the senior management to our office. Reason for the visit was to follow up on the recent contract agreement as well as to discuss the work, current and any additional work. More like to see whether there is any discrepencies with our work procedures.
And for that, we have to do a lot of preparation for him. Update the work procedures (It was done 5 years ago) as well as to check whether we are performing any 'free' services. Free being done by us but cannot be charged to client. I think we spend about half a day for that. Such a waste of time :(
However, the visiting client was acutally a very nice guy. (Too bad he's old & married :p) We went for dinner and drinks together as this was the first time he is in town. Yeah.. free food and drinks with free taxi ride home. Of course we went for seafood dinner and he was not disappointed. We too enjoyed the free food & drinks. I think we chose the place according to our taste rather than to show him our culture :) Thank goodness he enjoyed himself.
Anyway, we also took this opportunity to get to know one of our colleague better. He just joined us from India. I've forgetten which part of India. I wonder what is it about India that makes most of them look older than they actually are. This colleague of mine is only 27 yrs old. But no way will people believe that. He looks much more older than that. Intially none of us believed that he is that young. However, during our dinner, he mentioned that he intended to settle down by next year as he will be 28 by then. I think that was when we are finally convince that he is really only 27 yrs old. I'm having second thoughts about eating Indian food now.
